The one-window service for work permits & related documents has resumed operation for AmCham member companies.

BAEFF Legal Services would like to inform you about the new agreement between Federal Migration Service and American Chamber of Commerce. During a meeting with Konstantin Romodanovskiy, Head of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) for the Russian Federation, AmCham President Andrew Somers proposed a solution to simplify work permit processing for both the FMS and expatriate employees of AmCham member companies. As of March 1, 2009. representatives of AmCham member companies should bring their documents to the AmCham office at Dolgorukovskaya 7, 14th floor (Ул. Долгоруковская 7, 14ый этаж). An authorized, dedicated AmCham member of staff will collect submitted documents, transfer them to the Federal Migration Service offices, and transfer processed applications back to the AmCham office for collection by members. This procedure will significantly simplify the work permit application process for AmCham member companies as documents may be submitted and collected from the AmCham office. Details on submission and collection times at the AmCham office will be available shortly. The Federal Migration Service has confirmed that it will try to maintain the 28 working day limit for processing of work permit applications, as was previously the case. Baeff legal services has already contacted with Federal Migration Service. During the discussion Jelenkova Lubov’ Yurievna, Head of Department of Delivery of employment permits and work permits confirmed that the agreement will be in force from March 1, 2009. At present also negotiations are carried on with AmCham vice-president Tatiyana Roguzina, to get the information about the law aspects of such agreement. We will inform you at information updating.
